The second budget PC build

This passed weekend I went ahead and built the second budget PC (I had the parts sitting at home for quite some time). I went pretty darn well. The seating of the CPU with the heatsink to the Mobo went on real nice and easy. I was impressed with the case, for being a cheap one its pretty user friendly. Here is the parts list:

Here is a picture of this build.

Rear-end Hiccup, tuning figuring, and a moving shifter.

After I bit of driving the Camaro for awhile something did not seem right on our(myself and my buddy) rear-end mod on the Camaro. It would howl lots on the road. So last thusday of this month we got into it (to include what we didn't do is put in shims to space the lash properly and get a accurate pattern for the gears to mesh in). After 6 hours of all said and done we got everything perfect. At that point we were both glad that it was all over.
And now that was done. I moved on to tuning the car. I took it over to my brothers place which he is familiar with tuning Camaro's. He set the timing on it with a timing gun. The car woke up with power on the straightway for awhile. I tried to launch the car and the shifter(5 speed manual) was pushing up(I noticed it earlier that day) and this knocking sound was happening, apparently from what my brother said is that I need to get new transmission crossmember rubbers. We then turned around to go back it started to have lack of power again. We put the timing gun back on timing is staying where its supposed to be. We pulled a spark plug, burning good from what we could see from brand new ones. I do have brand new plug wires installed as well. We do suspect that the line fuel line to the carb is twisted a little bit is restricting fuel on the carb and therefore making the engine have lack of power at certain times. We are going to swap fuel lines(just to the pump) and see what happens there. Just before I drove home, my brother set to more degrees advance. The car drove awesome, it felt the car was more free. And the car didn't when I drove it home, lurch the car around and pound on the floor because it runs at a higher rpm at idle.
First thing now is the crossmember rubbers and check motor mounts too. Then the fuel line thing and hopefully replace the carb with a Edelbrock one. Tinted windows will be come soon I promise.

One PC build finished.

I recently built the first budget PC that was mentioned a few posts back. It took me a while to finally get going on it. I have been busy with other stuff such as modding my Camaro which I will post later. Oh I also went to Calgary for the Calgary Expo which I missed the oppurtunity to post what I saw there and some awesome times I had there. (It would not look good on the site to post now what I saw with the date being so way off) Well back on the PC I built. The parts that I bought for this build are:

-ASUS A8M2N-LA HP COMPAQ NodusM GEForce AM2 MOTHERBOARD

-AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 2.5GHz

-Antec Sonata III 500 Computer Case

-2x Kingston 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 RAM Chips

-Liteon IHAS124 24X DVD Writer

I built this computer for my brother, who needed one that was modern but one the budget and can still be usable for his for his older games and finally be able to upgrade it later on.

A couple of new mods to my Z28.

Last weekend a long time buddy of mine and myself installed a set a 3.73 rear-end gears and a Powertrax Traction system which makes the car move both tires in a straight line which is better for traction at the track. I am interested what the Z wll do at Drag Wars now. I will have to see. The car has way more jump to her with the 3.73 gears. Now I think I will have to put a modded 350 to make her really go. The first mod I will do is to tint the windows, I have always wanted to do that.

More PC builds in the works

My site has been pretty quiet lately as I am busy with other things called life.

I am currently about to build some budget PC's in effort to make some extra money to pay off expenses of mine. Details to follow later as to what the hardware is and such. These builds are particularly easier than the gaming PC I built earlier.
