A few pics

Here is a couple of pics of my office that has my gaming pc in it and my bookshelf which I got for Christmas last year. It was much needed because I had books scattered throughout the house and now they are in central place. I particularly love my gaming pc setup with the 2 monitors, wireless keyboard and mouse with the 3 speaker and subwoofer system. The reason is that I have lots of desktop space with the 2 displays and the idea of no wires when I use the keyboard and mouse. The sound system for the pc is particularly awesome because you can adjust the bass of the subwoofer with dial on the side of it.

More RAM....

Today I just bought some more RAM memory for the gaming PC. I am now will be up to 12GB of DDR3 Memory. I bought a pair of 4GB sticks which was pretty cheap. 60 bucks including shipping. I am particularly pumped about this because it improves the capability of the machine so I can do more things without running out of memory.
Next up is an SSD drive like I have been saying in the previous post.

My next PC upgrades

The next upgrade for my main PC would be an SSD (Solid state drive). The advantage of this upgrade is that programs will load faster in Windows, and Windows 7 it self will load in seconds. Before I do this upgrade I'm going to wait until the price of the SSD's are close to par with the spinning hard drives that are priced pretty cheap.
The other upgrade would be more RAM. I would like to bump it up to 8 GB or maybe 16. I have 4 right now. I don't think that I will use all the RAM ever but perhaps I could run a lot more programs and not have a insufficient amount of it. And also I can do some video editing in the future I guess.
My storage upgrade will definitely be the biggest upgrade of the two.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Today I have started to listen/read the audiobook Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. So far at 45 minutes into the book its pretty good. It's based on the video game that's on the xbox 360. The book starts out when you are introduced to Darth Vader's apprentice called the Star Killer and he is given his first true test to kill a Jedi Master. When I finish the book I will give my full review.

I finished this book today. I really enjoyed this book. It very much reminds me of playing Star Wars: The Knights of the Old Republic. It starts off like what I had mentioned before the main character called the Star Killer who is Darth Vader's apprentice. He is given an assignment to kill the remaining Jedi's in the galaxy to prove himself as a Sith Lord and in his final task, he is faced with his biggest hope of finding who he really is.

This book had me wanting to find out more of what was going to happen next. I really liked the description of the action in the book, it was pretty clear and easy to understand in the Star Wars universe. This book is a must read if you are Star Wars fan.

Christmas Gifts

I scored big time on this years Christmas gifts. I acquired a bookshelf for my office, a memory foam for my bed. some Futureshop GC and some cash. What I got from Futureshop was Blu-Ray's Captain America: First Avenger, Thor, Batman: Year One and a Xbox game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Yesterday I got from my brother (delayed from shipping) an electric exhaust cutout for the Camaro and a rubber hose sleeve kit. The Camaro is going to sound and look sharp this next summer I'm so pumped for it. I put up my bookshelf and now my office looks complete. I haven't watched all the movies yet.
