Dark Knight Rises

I saw The Dark Knight Rises opening weekend. My expectations were pretty high for this movie. It delivered in a big way. It capped the trilogy so well. I had no knowledge of the Bane in the comics(the comics I read didn't have him) so it was fresh in that respect. I will have to watch it again to get all the hidden stuff in it.

Steam Games

This morning I bought some games on Steam. They are having summer sales going on right now. That is the reason I purchased some games on Steam. The games I got were Star wars: Knights of the Old Republic. This game came out in 2003 and I loved this game. I do miss playing it, now I can play it. Another game I bought is Torchlight, which is like Diablo a point, click hack & slash. I played a demo on the Xbox 360 and I liked it. The other game I got is Sega's Shining Force, which is a childhood classic of mine. I used to watch my brother play it when we were younger. I am pretty pumped to play these game later on tonight or tomorrow night.

Rear diff troubles and hopeful solution

As mentioned before in a previous post that I was having issues with the rear diff on my Camaro. Well it is found out that the ring and pinion from another Camaro was wrong because it couldn't be setup properly. Then the other issue was the performance parts (Ring and pinion with Eaton Posi Diferential unit) that was ordered from Edmonton was wrong and long nights trying to setup the Ring and Pinion, then later found the Eaton Posi unit was defective. We found the right ring and pinion set from our local NAPA store and ordered a Detriot Truetrac Unit. Everything installed properly as it should.

I have experienced some vibration and gear noises. Feels like an unbalance in the driveline. I replaced u-joints and fixed the torque arm brackets. Still has vibrations and so on. I did some research on the Detroit Truetrac, it turns out you have to use regular gear oil, not synthetic. Because the unit designed to have friction to work. I have not put in this oil yet but I will give an update on whether it solved the problem and end the misery for those of us involved.

Just to add that I think that I have found the partsman to count on in this city.

Autographs from Calgary Expo

I have a picture of the signings I got from the Calgary Expo. One signing is Katee Sackhoff which she plays Kara "Starbuck" Thrace a fighter pilot from Bartlestar Galactica. She wrote "Frak the Cylons". She asked me what I wanted her to write down and that's what I came up with. I should of actually watched some of the show before going, but I like what she wrote anyway.
The second signing is Aaron Douglas who plays Chief Galen Tyrol who repairs the Vipers and Raptors going. What he wrote on the picture is "Get the Frak to work!" He actually came up with that one, which I liked as well. The picture with the signing would work well I think to motivate myself or co-workers at work.
Looking back at the Calgary Expo and getting these autographs that I should have tried to get into a better conversation with each of these stars. I should have planned something to say to them. Perhaps I will meet them again in the future. Oh by the way I am going to Calgary Expo next year.

The Ultimates

Recently I had finished the graphic novel The Ultimates, which is based on the Avengers. It was pretty good. It's done by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch. This comic has some pop culture jokes in it. Lots of action amongst the Avengers themselves like The Hulk runs wild in the streets of New York while Thor, Ironman, Captain America try to contain The Hulk and bring him to the lab as Bruce Banner. Also the Avengers are assembled to stop an alien race from destroying the earth. This is my favorite Avengers so far. A definite read for those interested in Avengers graphic novels.
