Rear diff problem

A while back I did a differential gear swap and installed a Powertrax diff-lock. And at the tail end of last year it started to make a grinding sound and now it is really bad. I am going to have pull the back cover off and see what the issue is. It also vibrates to car as well. I did some research on the symptoms and it looks like a pinion bearing and it would get to the point of no clearance.

So now the car is parked until the day we work on it at the shop.

Avenger's Movie

I seen the new Marvel's Avengers last weekend and I loved it. And I still do. The characters were so well written and acted. It is exactly what an Avenger's movie should be from the special abilities to their one liners jokes to eachother. It is very true to the source material. Its very well done.

Calgaryexpo 2012

This year I had decided to go to the big Comic and Entertainment Expo in Calgary literally within days of the show starting. I did debate on going by myself (8 hour drive) because I had no one to go with. I had asked my cousin if he wanted to go which he lives in Edmonton and would split the drive to the show as well.

He didn't know about the show until I mentioned about and he wanted to go as well. Our plan was to drive down on Saturday from his place in Edmonton to the show that morning. And catch part of the show that afternoon. Then stay overnight to be there early Sunday morning. We got stuck in traffic to the Stampede Park so we can maybe catch the show. After long waiting we decide to go our hotel to drop off our car and take the C-train to the Park. We got to the entrance of the show from the C-train and it was busy. We were just about to get in and the fire marshal announced that no one is allowed to enter the building because of high volume of people inside. So we left and went cruising in his Genesis turbo for a while and followed a Ferrari in the city. Which was pretty cool to hear that car run. Then we went to the hotel to check-in. My cousin and I decided to go to a movie at the Chinook Mall where we looked around for while, also had something to eat before the movie. We saw the movie Safe that Jason Statham in it. We went for another cruise after that. The whole day was prime cruising weather. The next morning we got there around 9:15 and it opens at 10. There was a huge line to get in that I had never seen before in person it was crazy. I had went to this show last year and I did not have to wait in line to get in. Main reason for the large turnout this year was the main cast from Star Trek : TNG was there. What I was there to see was Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff(Starbuck), Aaron Douglas(Chief Tyrol), Richard Hatch(Tom Zarek). I attended there panel at the Boyce Theatre. I really enjoyed that panel, it had some great questions and even greater laughs too. I had gotten Katee and Aaron's autographs with a saying on each of them which is pretty cool. I also got a few t-shirts and some posters too. I had also attended the Walking Dead Panel which featured the actor who plays Merle which is Michael Rooker. This one was pretty good. People were asking him questions that centered around his character on the show and also about his character's brother Daryl. I have only one picture of the show which was the BSG panel. I had a blast that weekend and I am looking forward for next years. I might even dress up for it.
I will post pics of the autographs and the posters when I get them framed.

RAM memory and Blu Ray drive

A few weeks or so ago I installed the new DDR 3 RAM that I had bought from Newegg.ca. It's pretty nice now with the extra memory. And if I want to do some video editing and encoding I will have that extra RAM.
I have also bought a Blu Ray drive. I bought it to backup my files so I can reinstall windows for maintenance purposes. I haven't installed it yet since I don't have a SATA cable and also I am busy with other things. Hopefully I can get it installed this weekend.
