Car business

This spring my brother announced that his wife is selling her 08 Chevy Equinox Sport next year when their lease is up. That sparked my interest at the time that I could sell my Camaro and my Grand Cherokee. That Equinox is equipped with 3.6L VVT DOHC engine that produces 260hp and has AWD also. I looked up the vehicle this spring to see if I can find any performance parts for it like exhaust, a performance programmer, etc. With hours of looking I got nothing which hampered on my decision to save up for that vehicle. And also when my brother told me that his wife is selling that vehicle I had already put in the Powertrax locker and diff gears that got me concerned that it might make the Camaro hard to sell.

In that time leading up to today I have done some mods to my Camaro as I have posted before http://lukepohr.squarespace.com/blog/2011/7/19/rear-end-hiccup-tuning-figuring-and-a-moving-shifter.html I have done a few different things that were not posted like a new timing chain, fuel filter, water pump, valve cover(made the engine bay pop), and spark plugs made a big difference in performance and woke it up big time. I had also bought most of the weatherstripping parts to redo the T-tops and doors. What I didn't do from the earlier post was the crossmember mounts, speedo gear. Which I will do this spring the first drive out back to home.

Today I looked up the Equinox again just see if I missed somewhere online that does sell some parts for that vehicle. I was pretty well unsuccessful at finding any parts. I did however try to search for engine parts that are for different cars that share the same engine. I didn't find anything. Apparently in Australia they make performance parts for the 3.6L engines. I didn't find any site that sells parts.

With my financial situation right now from buying parts for the Camaro this year and having other interests set me back from saving up to afford a newer vehicle. Also the fact that it can't be modified like the Camaro kinda sucks. The fact that I did mods to the Camaro this spring/summer made me feel good especially after I replaced the timing chain. But there are still some work to do on it yet. Hopefully nothing else will go wrong and I can get out of my financial hole.

Batman Arkham City

Well I did not read the comic Batman Arkham Asylum like I said in the previous post. Today is finally the release date of Batman Arkham City which I have waiting since they anounced it at E3 this year. I am about to go buy the game today. My winter time will be spent on this game (also Forza 4 which I got last week). Hopefully I can finish this game quick so I can post a review. I will have to see.

Batman: Hush

I have just completed this comic last night. This one starts out when Batman battles The Croc save a young kids life and keep the ransom money from The Croc. In doing so Catwoman steals the ransom money and Batman chases her on the roof tops of Gotham. One of his ropes get cut and he falls on his head. His childhood friend who is a brilliant surgeon fixes him up. His childhood best friend gets killed and Batman meets his usual enemies and a few allies while trying to find out who killed his friend.
This comic is really easy to read. The art style is one of my favorites so far of all the Batman's I have read. It's a definite read.
My next read is Batman Arkham Asylum A serious house on serious earth. I'm going to try and power through this one before Arkham City for Xbox 360 comes in more than a week. It's a smaller book than Hush, so it shouldn't be that hard.

My Batman Books

For the last while I have been reading some comics namely Batman ones like Batman Dark Victory, Batman Long Halloween, Batman Haunted Knight, Batman Year One, Batman The Dark Knight Returns.

Dark Victory, Long Halloween, and Haunted Knight are my favorite Batman comics I have read so far. These three comics have amazing artwork and storytelling. What I really like about these ones are that they easy to read and follow the action.
The one that I read first was Long Halloween which is the thickest comic of the three. It centers around these mysterious murders on each holiday of the year. It has really great suspense which I really enjoyed. This comic has all the great villains like Two-Face, Joker, and Poison Ivy. Catwoman makes an appearance in this comic.
The second comic I read was Haunted Knight, which I really liked. This one Batman battles Scarecrow, Maddhater, and Joker. We are revealed of Batman's own personal battles like in Long Halloween and Dark Victory.
The third one was Dark Victory. This is a continuance of Long Halloween. In this one, who they thought was doing the murders wasn't that person at all.
The Dark Knight Returns comic was good. The overall story was good. It starts out that Batman has returned as aged and is worn out. The people of Gotham or at least the media view him as menace. I didn't really care for artwork at times especially when tv conversations were shown and looking at a tiny box of what they were saying it took me out of the experience.
Year One is an origin of Batman. This one was good. The artwork was good and it was easy to read.
The next one I am reading is Batman Hush. I have heard good things about this one.
